Well, here is
a page with a little information about me, Clint Bartley.
Not that I am anything exciting, but it's always good to know
who your animals are coming from. Whether you are
considering the purchase of your first cornsnake, or adding another ball morph to your collection, I hope
a little background on myself helps in your decision.
I have had an interest
in herps, especially snakes, for as long as I can remember. My
first snake was a baby black ratsnake that I caught when I was nine in
the summer of '91. The love and fascination just escalated from
there. Over the years I have kept and bred several colubrids (cornsnakes,
kingsnakes, milksnakes, and ratsnakes) and boids (boas, pythons). I have always had a dream of being able to deal with herps
full time. Although that may never happen, I will continue to
enjoy this hobby for as long as I am able to properly care for my
animals.
Besides
herps, I am an area manager of an optical store and real estate
investor. So I keep myself quite busy. My wife (as of
10/9/10!!), a high school teacher, has taken a shine to snakes as well.
Although she doesn't get as excited as I do about a new arrival or
morph, she isn't afraid to get in and clean cages with me. She's a
trooper. How many women are ok with having a "snake room"? I
also enjoy cooking/grilling, playing poker, and watching football.
I bleed blue, GO COLTS!!!!!!
